ORDER

This contempt petition has been preferred seeking to punish the respondents for the alleged noncompliance of the order dated 09.02.2021 passed in W.A. No.199 of 2021.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel on either side submitted that the aforesaid order has been complied with and an affidavit to that effect has also been filed before this Court by the second respondent. The relevant portion of the said affidavit is extracted below:

"3.

It is submitted that later, the contempt petitions came up for hearing and the Hon'ble Court directed the respondents to file the compliance report with respect to the orders issued by the Court. The order of the Hon'ble Court was complied with by sending the revised pension proposal to the Accountant General, Chennai, on 26.04.2023 and on 05.07.2023, the salary arrears for the period from 30.03.1988 to 30.11.1998 of Rs.40,192/- Earned Leave and Unearned Leave benefits was also granted and settled on 14.07.2023 of Rs.4,289/- and the petitioner has received the above benefits. The proposal for a revised pension was also sanctioned by the Accountant General and the same was received on 13.07.2023. In strict compliance of the orders of this Hon'ble Court, we had taken all steps."

In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication and accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed. (S.V.N., J.) (S.K.R., J.) 25.07.2023 cad
