ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioner as Forest Watcher on a par with his juniors.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, by drawing the attention of this Court to paragraphs 6 to 8 of the counter affidavit dated 16.06.2023 filed by the third respondent, submitted that the petitioner's request for regularisation of his services has been considered positively and necessary proceedings dated 17.04.2023 have been issued by the third respondent. Paragraphs 6 to 8 of the counter affidavit which are relevant are extracted below: "6.

It is respectfully submitted that the similarly placed persons including the petitioner filed W.P. No.22784 of 2014. By an order dated 22.08.2014, the Hon'ble Court issued directions to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner. Following the Hon'ble Court's directions, the petitioner was regularised on par with his junior in the post of Forest Watcher by Letter No.10640/FR2(II)/2017 - 1 dated 02.03.2018 with effect from 02.02.1995.

It is respectfully submitted that the respondent 2 herein in this writ petition has issued instructions vide Ref.No.LL1/29041/2014 dated 03.04.2018 to the respondent 3 herein in this writ petition to implement the Hon'ble Court order. Further the third respondent by proceedings Pro.No.3711/2015E dated 17.04.2023 has fixed the pay of the petitioner on par with the junior with effect from 02.02.1995. 8.

Further, it is respectfully submitted that Accountant General (A&E),Tamil Nadu, vide No.AG(A&E)/PEN:1/12126508/2/R2122051/80, dated 01.05.2023 has revised the pension and other benefits. The petitioner has been informed regarding the order by a registered post."

Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader and the subsequent orders that have been passed regularising the petitioner's services and fixing his pay and also the steps taken to revise his pension and other benefits, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
