O R D E R
The District Revenue Officer, Thiruppur, is suo motu added as the fourth respondent in this writ petition.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to carry out corrections in the patta that was issued to the petitioner wherein instead of mentioning the extent as 0.87 cents, it was mentioned as 30.50 ares (75 cents) with respect to the subject property.
3. Heard Mr.A.Venkatesan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
4. It is seen from records that the petitioner has already made a 2/4
representation in this regard to the impleaded fourth respondent on 02.03.2024 since such discrepancy arose during the UDR scheme. Based on the same, a report was also called for by the third respondent and thereafter, there was absolutely no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 02.03.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
