This Civil Revision Petition has been preferred to direct the Sub Court, Alandur, Kanchipuram District for speedy disposal of the H.M.O.P.No.219 of 2021 in accordance with Section 21 B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner fairly reported that the enquiry is pending under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act. Without payment of maintenance, it will be impossible for the wife to contest the proceedings for divorce initiated by the husband. Therefore, I cannot direct disposal of the main case when an Interlocutory Application is pending. Hence, I am not inclined to give a direction for early disposal of the divorce proceedings. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to renew his request for a direction to dispose of the divorce petition expeditiously, once the Section 24 application reaches finality.

4. In view of the above observations, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
