Order The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that respondent-TNEB has restored electricity service connection to the petitioner's property.
2. It appears that the petitioner has indulged in illegal tapping of the electricity service connection and thereby, committed an offence of theft of electricity. Therefore, the respondent-TNEB, reprimanding such illegality, dis-connected the electricity service connection to the petitioner's property.
3. Seeking restoration of the electricity service connection, though petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, however, when the matter is taken up today, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner and this Court presupposes that since the petitioner has committed theft of electricity that might be the reason for his non-appearance before this Court.
4. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. However, the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents is 2/4
recorded. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
