ORDER

The petitioner, while serving as a Conductor in the Transport Department, suffered an order of punishment of stoppage of increment for two years with cumulative effect by an order dated 30.5.2017. As against the said order, he has preferred an appeal on 15.6.2017 before the first respondent. But the same has not been disposed of. Therefore, he has come to this Court.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that when the order of punishment dated 30.5.2017 issued by the General Manager specifically mentions that an appeal can be filed within https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

sixty days, before the expiry of the time limit, he has filed the appeal. But the same has not been disposed of.

3. The learned standing counsel for the respondents sought for three months' time to dispose of the pending appeal.

4. Recording his statement, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
