This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking bail by the 3rd accused, who is in prison for the alleged offence under Section 489 B, 489 C r/w.120B of I.P.C., 2.

Earlier, when this petitioner sought bail, this Court by an order dated 01.08.2022, dismissed the bail petition with a direction to the Trial Court to complete the trial within a period of 4 months. However, the Trial Court was not able to complete the trial within 4 months for reasons explained sought extension of time for completion of trial. Same was granted further extension of 4 months by an order dated 31.01.2023. Now, the present bail petition is filed stating that the trial has not completed within 4 months as directed by this Court vide order dated 01.08.2022. The fact that extension of 4 months time vide order dated 31.01.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.17771 of 2023 by the Hon'ble Justice T.V.Thamilselvi, has not been stated in this petition.
