This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 331 days in filing the present Criminal Revision petition challenging the judgement dated 03.01.2025 passed in Crl.A.No.348 of 2023 on the file of the learned XVI Additional Sessions Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
2. Although the respondent's name was printed in the cause list, there was no appearance for the respondent.
3. Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and upon perusing the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this Court is of the view that sufficient cause has been shown for condoning the delay.
4. In the result, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and the delay of 331 days in filing the Criminal Revision Case is condoned.
5. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Revision Case, if the papers are otherwise in order and post the main case for admission on 18.03.2026.
