Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to accept the petitioners application for selection to the post of Sub Inspector of Police and further direct the respondents to allow the petitioners to participate in the selection process. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The surviving petitioners are petitioner Nos.7, 9 and 18. The seventh petitioner qualified the Physical Endurance Test, but does not fall within the zone of consideration of 1:2 ratio prescribed for viva-voce, while petitioner Nos.9 and 18 did not qualify the Physical Endurance Test.

2. Thus, the writ petition is also dismissed qua these three petitioners. No costs.
