O R D E R

Earlier, this Court by an order dated 19.01.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.21701 of 2022 passed the following order :- "It is case of cheating the defacto complainant by giving a false promise that the job will be secured in this High Court. In ca case of this nature since second respondent has not complied the undertaking given before this court, investigation is still yet to be completed, bail already granted to the second respondent in Crl.M.P.No.3997 of 2021 by the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai on 01.04.2021 stands cancelled. The first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law."

2. The contention of the petitioner is that he has communicated the said order to the then Inspector of Police (Crime) on 29.01.2023 itself with a web copy of this court to implement the same, but the respondent simply 2/5

ignored the order of this court and remain silent till date. Subsequently, he has sent a contempt notice dated 27.02.2023 to the respondent, which was received by them on 28.02.2023, but even after that notice also, they remained silent, which is nothing but a willful disobedience of the order of this case. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present contempt petition.

Earlier, when this matter came up for hearing on 31.03.2023, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appeared and submitted that since the accused person is absconding, they are not able to secure him and hence, sought four weeks time for taking steps to secure him. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for respondent appeared and submitted that in pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the accused person was secured on 18.04.2023 and they are proceeding the case in accordance with law, thereby the order passed by this court is complied with. Hence, he prayed to close this Contempt Petition.
