ORDER

Review application has been filed to review the order dated 07.02.2024 vide in W.P.No.2659 of 2024.

2. W.P.No.2659 of 2024 was filed by the petitioners to pay appropriate interest to the petitioners for the delayed sanction and disbursement of retirement benefits on the death of V.J.Narayanan, deceased Government Servant. This Court, by an order dated 07.02.2024 directed the respondents to pay the interest on the belated payment of the terminal benefits to the petitioners at the rate of 6% per annum, commencing from the date of the retirement, till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the terminal benefits may be disbursed to the petitioners as per Rule 45-A of Tamil Nadu Pension Rules.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the respondents are directed to pay the interest on the belated payment of the terminals benefits to the petitioners as per Rule 45-A of Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, in the manner known to law.
