This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to provide the exact status of the petitioner Society and produce the records relating to the registration status of the petitioner Society.

There is No Appearance for the petitioner. Heard, Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent for providing information about the petitioner's registration, registered as Serial No.78 of 1977, under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1976. However, the petitioner was not served with any reply. Hence, the petitioner association approached this Court. 4.

On instruction, Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader, submitted that the registration number provided by the petitioner as 78 of 1977 belong to one "Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Kudisai Vaazhvor Podhunala Sangam" registered on 10.05.1977.

Whereas, the petitioner's society was registered as Register No.312/1970 on 31.12.1970. Therefore, the petitioner can very well approach the second respondent for information under the Register No.312/1970, dated 31.12.1970. 6.
