Respondent Petition against the order, dated 05.06.2018, passed in C.M.P.No.1163 of 2017 in A.S.SR No.65578 of 2017 by Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai. For petitioner : Mr.T.A.Srinivasan For respondent : Mr.A.S.Kailasam

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

2. This Civil Revision Petition is filed against the order passed by the learned Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, dismissing the petition to condone the delay of 2690 days in filing the appeal as against the judgment and decree passed in O.S.No.3379 of 2007 by VI Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.

3. The learned Principal Judge dismissed the petition on the ground that the inordinate delay of 2690 days in filing the appeal was not properly explained by the petitioner. This Court also, on hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and on going through the material available on record, does not find any genuine reason for condonation of such huge delay. Therefore, there is no scope for interfering with the finding rendered by the Court below.

4. Civil Revision Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.No.13134 of 2018 is also dismissed. Index : Yes/No 24-10-2018 Internet : Yes/No dixit To The Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
