Respondent Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to release the amount due to the petitioners as per the sanction order dated 24.11.2017 in F.No.37-106/2017/DAF within the time period fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to disburse the amount as per the Selection Order dated 24.11.2017 passed by the respondent.

2. The petitioners, being husband and wife, got married on 25.08.2016. The first petitioner belongs to Adidravidar Community and the second petitioner belongs to Vanniyar Community, both differently categorized. The respondent herein had floated a scheme of Dr.Ambedkar Foundation for Social Integration through inter-caste marriage. The said scheme provided incentive of Rs.2,50,000/- for the inter-caste marriage on condition to fulfill other criteria. As the petitioners fulfilled all the criteria, they applied for sanction of incentive amount. The claim of the petitioners was considered and the respondent, by an order dated 24.11.2017, ordered sanction of Rs.2,50,000/- in favour of the petitioners.

3. A perusal of the sanction order dated 24.11.2017 shows that the said amount will be settled by way of depositing a sum of

Rs.1,50,000/- to the petitioners through RTGS. The balance amount of Rs.1,00,000/- shall be by way of fixed deposit, by the respondent, and it will be paid to the beneficiaries, along with the accrued interest, after three years from the date of release of first instalment. However, so far no amount has been released by the respondent as per the sanction order. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to comply its own sanction order dated 24.11.2017 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
