The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 4(1)(aaa) of TNP Act in Crime No.42 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 110 liters of ID arrack with an intention to sell it to the general public. Hence, the complaint was registered. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found in possession of 110 liters of ID arrack with an intention to sell it to the general public. mpa similar offences. He would further submit that the petitioner has also admitted his guilt. However, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the bad antecedence of the petitioner has involved in 2 previous cases for similar in nature registered by the respondent police, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
