Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenu the petitioner's son Ramesh, son of Sundaravelu, aged 24 years, before this Court, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, set him at liberty and to call for the records pertaining to the order of detention passed in No.1904/BDFGISSV/2014 dated 19.11.2014 passed by the 2nd respondent and set aside the same. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.) The petitioner, who is mother of the detenu herein, viz., Ramesh, son of Sundaravelu, aged 24 years has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 19.11.2014 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Piracy Act 1982 [Act 14 of 1982]. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner herein dated 19.11.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.240, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 09.01.2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
