2/6 [4 th respondent is suo motu added as the 4 th respondent vide order dated 19.03.2025 in W.P.No.8938 of 2025] PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner representation dated 17.01.2025 to correct the fact that the property owned by us was wrongly mentioned as Odai stream during UDR in the village revenue account and continue with the old status as we own the Agricultural punchai land within the stipulated time has fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The District Revenue Officer, Villupuram is suo motu added as the 4 th respondent in this writ petition.

2.This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 17.01.2025, wherein the petitioner has sought for the correction of the wrong

3/6 entry that was made during the UDR Scheme with respect to the subject property.

3.Heard Mr.K.Sathiyaraj, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 & 2.

4.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the property. According to the petitioner, during the UDR Scheme, the property was wrongly categorized as 'Odai' in the village revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 17.01.2025 to carry out the necessary correction and to restore the original position. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the impleaded 4 th respondent to deal with the representation made by the

4/6 petitioner on 17.01.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and shall pass orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
