ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to act upon the communication made by the 1st respondent dated 12.02.2025 and to deal with the representation made by the petitioner seeking for cancellation of patta granted in favour of respondents 4 to 9. 2.

Heard Mr.B.M.Subash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the revenue records have been mutuated in the names of the private respondents and hence, the petitioner's mother made a representation on 03.03.2025 to the 1st respondent. The 1st respondent on receipt of the same forwarded it to the 2nd respondent. Thereafter, there was no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there

shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner's mother on 03.02.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the private respondents and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
