ORDER
The petitioner is a member of the NLC workers Progressive Union, Neyveli. The grievance of the Writ Petitioner is that the 2nd respondent / the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu state Committee Labour Progressive Front Federation had allowed the 3rd respondent viz., C.Sukumar to continue to hold the post of General Secretary of NLC Workers Progressive Union, Neyveli even after his retirement. He, therefore filed the present Writ petition, seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent/ the Registrar of Trade Unions, Chennai to conduct enquiry as to why the 2nd respondent has allowed the 3rd respondent to continue to hold the post of General Secretary of the NLC Union.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.V.Ajoy
Khose, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 contended that subsequent to the filing of the Writ Petition, an Election was conducted on 22.04.2021 and new office bearers have taken over charge of the office of the Registrar of the Tamil Nadu State Committee Labour Progressive Front Federation and therefore the issue involved in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.
