Viruthambal ..Respondent(s) Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's online application vide application No. 2026 / 0123 / 33/ 000706 dated 19.02.2026 for conducting survey and demarcation of the boundaries in survey number 270/2B measuring an extent of 32.50 Ares situated at Pullur Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi District and to provide adequate police protection while at the time of measuring the land, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by him, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 19.02.2026 seeking for survey and demarcation of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent in this writ petition is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the first respondent, if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections from the third respondent as well as any other party whom the first respondent deems it fit to enquire. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:-

(a) Before surveying the land in question, the first respondent is directed to issue notice to the third respondent, and also to any other party, whom the first respondent deems it fit to enquire.

(b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the first respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(c) If any need arises, the first respondent is permitted to submit a petition for police assistance, and upon receipt of such request, the concerned jurisdictional police shall render necessary police assistance for conducting survey and demarcation of the subject property.
