ORDER

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the

respondents to consider his representation dated 23.1.2026 for removal of the electricity meter and the fuse carriers pertaining to three phase commercial electricity connection No.04-460-004-804 from his land in survey No.209/2B2 measuring an extent of 35 3/4 cents at Chellapillai Kuttai Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel accepting notice for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is as follows:

(a) The petitioner owns the subject lands. He has acquired the subject lands by way of purchase through a registered sale deed for a valid sale consideration. Ever since the date of purchase, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same. The joint patta for the subject lands stood in the name of the petitioner as well as his vendor. Later, the petitioner got a separate patta for the subject lands. (b) The petitioner's vendor obtained a three phase commercial electricity connection for manufacturing bricks. Further, the electricity

meter and the fuse carrier were placed in the petitioner's land. This is causing disturbance to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 23.1.2026 to the respondents seeking to remove the electricity meter and the fuse carrier placed in his land. As it did not evoke any response, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 23.1.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
