ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2025 and to direct the respondents to pay interest of 12 % P.A. for the delay of 580 days till the date of order in relating to the petitioner's pension amount and to calculate correct D.A. and to give my EL benefits difference amount.

The case of the petitioner is that he joined service in the respondents/Transport Corporation as Conductor and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.03.2023. According to the petitioner, interest has not been paid for the delayed payment of the pensionary benefits. Further, the correct Dearness Allowance (DA) has not been calculated and the differential amount towards Earned Leave (EL) benefits has also not been paid. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.10.2025 to the respondents seeking payment of interest for the delayed period and settlement of the differential amounts and since the same has not been considered, he has filed the present petition.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would fairly submit that the respondent is willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amounts. 4.
Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the admissible terminal benefits from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
