Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the respresentation/appeal dated 01.02.2017 of the petitioner to appoint the petitioner's son N.Ramesh as water Assistant post lying vacant in fourth respondent panchayt, considering petitioner's donation of 2 cents land in 1997 to the fourth respondent panchayat, likewise a similar appointment is given to one Gunamany's daughter-in-law Sunitha by the same panchayat/District Administration under drinking water project scheme.

O R D E R
The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation/appeal dated 1st February, 2017, seeking appointment to the Son of the writ petitioner as Water Assistant in 4th respondent Panchayat.
2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner contended that the family of the writ petitioner has donated 2 cents of land in favour of the Malayadi Village Panchayat and acceptance certificate was also issued to that effect. However, a scheme was framed to provide appointment for the land donors and in this regard, the writ petitioner has submitted an appeal to the 1st respondent on 01.02.2017 and the same is pending for consideration. Without going into the merits and demerits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the appeal, filed by the writ petitioner on 01.02.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the appeal along with the order passed in this writ petition.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
