(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondent herein to consider the petition dated 27.06.2016 and to grant patta for 2 acres of land in Survey No.709/2, Selaiyur Village, Tambaram Taluk. by regularising the petitioner's continuous and uninterrupted possession over the period of 40 years.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.G.Appavu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

liberty to make proper application to the authority seeking assignment under Ex-serviceman quota.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to make proper application to the authority seeking assignment under Ex-serviceman quota. No costs.
