Respondent Prayer:- Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No.8510 of 2016 dated 27.04.2016.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this contempt petition stating that the respondent/contemnor had willfully disobeyed the order passed by this Court in

Crl.O.P.No.8510 of 2016 dated 27.04.2016, even though a specific direction was given to the respondent to expedite the enquiry and follow the dictum laid down in Lalitha Kumari case and register a case, if any cognizable offence is made out.

2.During the last hearing, the contemnor was present before this Court. However, he is not present before this Court today because of bereavement in his family. Instead of the respondent/contemnor, the Inspector of Police, Suramangalam Police Station, who is in-charge of Azhagapuram Police Station is present before this Court today.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) would submit that in pursuance of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.8510 of 2016 dated 27.04.2016, due enquiry was conducted and the matter was closed as civil in nature on 24.10.2016. Today, the learned Government Advocate had also furnished a copy of the closure report to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Further, the respondent/contemnor has also filed a counter affidavit tendering his unconditional apology for implementing the order passed by this Court belatedly.

4.Recording the same, this contempt petition is closed.
