ORDER

The petitioner/A1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 4(3) of Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws Amendment Act, 2021 and under Section 318(4) BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.371 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that A1 was involved in online gambling and the respondent has seized the mobile phone of the said accused; and that on the confession of A1, it was revealed that the petitioner is the employer and at his instance, the said gambling was done.

3. This is the second anticipatory bail petition and the first anticipatory bail petition before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.397 of 2025 was dismissed as withdrawn on 09.01.2025.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that 2/4

the petitioner has six previous cases of similar nature and hence, Hon'ble Mr.Justice A.D.Jagadish Chandira, who had heard the earlier anticipatory bail petition was not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has six previous cases and that the earlier petition was dismissed as withdrawn, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail and hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
