ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner seeking for the premature release.
2. It is seen from records that the petitioner was convicted for an offence under Section 302 of IPC and he was sentenced to undergo life imprisonment. As a life convict, the petitioner who had already undergone 10 years and three months as on 27.10.2014, made a representation to the respondents to consider for the premature release.
3. The status of the representation made by the petitioner is not very clear. If the petitioner has not already been considered for premature release, the petitioner is at liberty to make a fresh representation for premature release to the fourth respondent in line with G.O.Ms.No.64 dated 01.02.2018. If such a representation is made, the same will be considered in accordance with the guidelines provided in the G.O and an appropriate decision shall be taken.
This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
