Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in C3/D.O.No.28/2021 dated 25.03.2021 in detaining the detenu under 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Ranjith Kumar S/o.Raja, aged about 25 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] The petitioner is the mother of the detenu viz., Ranjith Kumar S/o.Raja, aged about 25 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C3/D.O.No.28/2021 dated 25.03.2021, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 2/4

14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in C3/D.O.No.28/2021 dated 25.03.2021, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.2558, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 09.06.2021 and produced a copy of the said order. In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
