ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct the preliminary enquiry on the complaint dated 10.10.2018 given by the petitioner in view of the direction issued by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari case.

2. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been cheated by one Cheenu @ Seenivasan in lending a chit to the tune of Rs.2 Crores and 20 Lakhs. In this regard, he gave a complaint to the first respondent on 10.10.2018, seeking preliminary enquiry, as per the direction of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari case. So far no enquiry has been conducted. Therefore, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), appearing for the respondents submitted that the complaint dated 10.10.2018 was transferred to DSP, DCB, Erode and it is being enquired by him and appropriate report will be filed.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the complaint is being enquired by DSP, DCB, Erode, this Court is of the view that no further order need to be passed in this petition.
