... Respondents This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. K.Varadhakamaraj, learned counsel for the Appellant and Mr.S.Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the second Respondent are present before this Court.
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.79,000/- along with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. Aggrieved by the said award amount, the Appellant/injured Claimant preferred this Appeal for enhancement and now she is attaining the age of majority.
2. During the pendency of the Appeal, the Insurance Company arrived at a settlement, thereby, the Claimant/Appellant has agreed to receive enhanced sum of Rs.50,000/- in full quit over and above awarded by the Tribunal.
3. It was agreed that the appellants/Claimants are entitled to full enhanced sum of Rs.50,000/- in addition to Rs.79,000/-, exclusively.
4. The second respondent/Insurance Company is directed to deposit the enhanced sum in full quit within a period of four weeks from today (11.02.2023).
5.On such deposit, the Appellant/Claimant is entitled to withdraw the entire enhanced amount of Rs.50,000/-. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition, if any, is closed.
