Ms.T.Girija, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The prayer in the Writ Petition is for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 16.08.2018 as forwarded by the Director, DVAC, Chennai-16, vide Petn.No.8299/2018/COOP/CL, dated 29.08.2018 and reminder dated 09.01.2019, on merits and as per law and within a time frame.

3. According to the petitioner, he was one of the contestants for the elections to the post of Board of Directors for the respondent-Society. Since there was some irregularities in the conduct of the election, he made a representation to the Election Officer and other Government Officials https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on 16.08.2018. In response to the representation submitted by the petitioner, the Director, Directorate of Vigilance and AntiCorruption has forwarded the same to the respondent on 29.08.2018 for taking further action and the petitioner also sent reminder on 09.01.2019. However, till date, there was no response. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is given to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders in accordance with law.

6. In the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2018, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
