Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2021 for issuance of a copy of the report of inspection dated 12.12.2020, along with sketch for T.S.No.1/68, with four boundaries includes the 100 feet inner ring road and periyar pathai west road to the second respondent within a reasonable time.

(The case has been heard through video conference) The relief sought for in this writ petition is to issue a copy of the survey report by the second respondent Tahsildar.

2. According to the petitioner, her lands comprised in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

T.S.No.1/23 pt(old) corresponding to Paimash No.357, Block 2, Puliyur Village, Chennai district measuring an extent of 4 grounds and 133 sq.ft belongs to the petitioner. Subsequently, her lands were acquired to form 100 feet inner ring road. As there was some discrepancy in the total extent of the land acquired from the petitioner, she made a request to the respondents to measure her property and based on the request of the petitioner, survey was also conducted by the second respondent on 12.12.2020 but a copy of the survey report was not given to the petitioner, hence she filed the present writ petition.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, as the property has already been surveyed and measured by the second respondent on 12.12.2020, the second respondent Tahsildar is directed to give a copy of the said survey report to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
