O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed aggrieved by the punishment of 'stoppage of one increment with cumulative effect' imposed on the petitioner as early as in the year 2014.

2. Mr.K.H.Ravikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, brought to the notice of this court that during the pendancy of this writ petition, the petitioner took voluntary retirement from service with effect from 03.05.2021, and thereafter, the petitioner expired on 29.05.2021. The same was also brought to the notice of this court on 08.08.2025. However, as there was no representation for the petitioner on that date, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal".

3. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption "For Dismissal', there is no representation for the petitioner either during the pre-lunch or post-lunch session. In the circumstances, this court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution.

4. Accordingly, the same is dismissed for non-prosecution as well as on the ground that the writ petition has abated. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
