Mr.S.Balamurugan, Government Advocate for R1 Ms.S.R.Sumathy for R3 Order The Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner to forbear the respondents from shifting the High Tension Power Grid Lines through the petitioners lands.

The petitioner is the absolute owner of the properties measuring an extent of 2.42 acres in various survey numbers situated in Nellore Village, Thenkanikottai Circle, Krishnagiri District and he is doing agricultural activities on the said lands. In such circumstances, the authorities had already erected High Tension power Grid Lines in his adjacent land. However since the Government proposed to construct a flyover in the National Highways, the authorities decided to shift the existing high tension power grid lines and thereby the respondents 2 and 3 without any notice have started to inspect and measure the petitioner's property. Hence, the petitioner made several representation and the last one being dated 02.02.2026 to the respondents. However, till date no response is forthcoming on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner is inclined to file this writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it
would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
