Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent to release the lorry of the petitioner bearing Registration No.TN-19-V-5073, seized by the respondent, based on his representation dated 06.05.2015.

3. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the lorry said to have been seized by the respondent. In view of seizure of the vehicle, the petitioner has given a representation dated 06.05.2015 to the respondent to release the same. Since there was no response, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would be suffice, if a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 06.05.2015 within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Though a representation to release the vehicle was handed over in person to the respondent, on instructions learned Government Advocate submits that no such representation was received by the authority, in this regard.

6. Anyhow, to give quietus to this issue in view of the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing anything with regard to the merits of the case, I hereby direct the petitioner to produce a copy of the representation dated 06.05.2015 along with the copy of this order within a period of two weeks from today. On such production, the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.05.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
