ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to investigate and file the final report in Crime No.382 of 2021 dated 28.06.2021 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, K-11, CMBT Police Station, Koyambedu, Chennai.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that, petitioner's husband N.Sunil Kumar was a driver of Car Hyundai Xcent bearing No.TN-22-DD-2054 registered under Uber car services. On 28.02.2021, petitioner received a phone call from her husband stating that, when he was driving the Car on Koyembedu bridge, the car got fire and he suffered burn injuries. She met him at KMC Hospital. He told her that he picked up a passenger one Arjunan near Velappanchavadi Vedanth School and he had bag with the smell of varnish. The said Arjunan also suffered injuries in the accident and subsequently, died. Now this petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to file final report.

In response, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, investigation in this case was completed and final report was filed before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate-V, Egmore, stating "Further action dropped" for the reason that, fire accident happened due to "Electrical Short Circuit". He further submitted that Referred Charge sheet notice was also served on the petitioner.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) that, investigation is completed and final report is filed, no further Orders need to be passed in this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to workout her remedies against the final report, if so advised, in the manner known to law.
