2. Mr.G.Velu, Additional Government Pleader, entered appearance for the respondents and expressed his objection to condoning the delay.

3. However, since the reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this petition is ordered and thereby, the delay of 977 days is condoned.
