The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused, apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under sections 420, 406 and 506(ii) IPC on the file of the respondent police, and hence, seek anticipatory bail. 2.Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that petition enquiry is pending only on the file of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Villupuram and in this case no petition enquiry is pending nor a case is registered against the petitioners before the respondent police.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application. 24.02.2016 cla
