PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2017 to provide power supply for the petitioner's property situated in survey No.243/1, Vengal Village. The petitioner, aged about 80 years, seeking for a direction to the third respondent to consider his representation dated 26.04.2017, for providing power supply to the property situated in Survey No.243/1, Vengal Village. 2.After notice, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Electricity Board submitted that the petitioner has not made the necessary application in the prescribed format before the Department for providing electricity supply. Therefore, he submitted that as and when an application is filed by the petitioner, the same will be considered and action will be taken in accordance with law.

3.Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to make an application in the prescribed format within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the third respondent shall consider the same on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter.
