ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent to renew the certificate of practice as Notary for the further period of 5 years W.E.F. 02.03.2025 to the Petitioner by considering the application for renewal dated. 30.08.2024.

2. The petitioner enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1979 and he is practicing in the Courts at Chennai. During the course of such practice, the petitioner submitted an application for appointment as a Notary and was registered as Notary vide registration number 11084 dated 02.03.2015. The

petitioner renewed the Certificate of Practice as Notary from then periodically from time to time. According to the petitioner, as the certificate of practice would expire on 01.03.2025, he has made an application for renewal with fees as on 30.08.2024, however, the same is pending without consideration. Hence, seeks for a direction.

3.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 30.08.2024 for renewal of Notary and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
