O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the claim of the writ petitioner for promotion by transfer of service, as Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I for the panel year 2011-2012 and promote him as the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Category-I with all consequential benefits.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that on account of certain allegations, a charge memo https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

was issued to the writ petitioner on 09.11.2009 and after enquiry, the allegations against the writ petitioner was dropped by the competent authority vide proceedings dated 02.05.2017, G.O.2D.No.103, Home (Police 2) Department. Pursuant to the dropping of the charge sheet, the writ petitioner has submitted a representation to the first respondent on 10.07.2017 and the same is yet to be considered. Thus, without going into the merits and de-merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 10.07.2017, in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
