By consent the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that he owned an agricultural land admeasuring to an extent of 0.40 Acre in S.No. 689/1 at P.N.Patti Village and he was doing cultivation in the said land. The said

land was acquired for the purpose of dumping the ashes generated by Mettur Thermal Power Station and he was paid a sum of Rs.4128/- towards compensation for the acquired land. The petitioner would further state that the then Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, now, incorporated as a company in the name and style of "M/s.Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution corporation Limited" [in short 'TANGEDCO Ltd'], assured all the erstwhile land owners, including the petitioner, that one member in each family would be given employment assistance in addition to the compensation. According to the petitioner, seven similarly placed persons filed writ petitions in W.P.Nos.

32818 to 32820 of 2002 praying to quash the orders issued to them rejecting their requests for employment assistance and to direct the respondents to issue orders of appointment them and this court by order dated 13.09.2012, directed the respondents therein to issue appointment orders to the persons who applied for job within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. According to the petitioner, he is also similarly placed and hence, he submitted a representation dated 06.03.2015 to the respondents praying for employment assistance to his grand son - Gopal, who is a diploma holder in Electrical and Electronic Engineering [DEEE]. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the representation was received on 09.03.2015 by the respondents, it has not been considered so far.

Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

2. Heard Mr.Ajoy Kohse, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar the learned standing counsel who accepts notice for the respondents.

This court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2015 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner.
