ORDER

The petitioner seeks transfer of FCOP.No.1 of 2026 on the file of the Family Court, Ariyalur, to the file of the Family Court, Thanjavur.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is residing in her native place at Thanjavur along with her six-year-old child. The parties have been living separately for more than five years. At the time when she was compelled to leave the matrimonial home, the child was very young and is now aged about six years. He further submitted that he has not been paid any maintenance and, therefore, seeks transfer of the case.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court finds the reasons stated to be justifiable and is inclined to allow the transfer.

4. Accordingly, FCOP.No.1 of 2026, pending on the file of the Family Court, Ariyalur, is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Subordinate Court, Thanjavur.

5. The Family Court, Ariyalur, is directed to transmit the case records to the Subordinate Court, Thanjavur, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Upon receipt of the records, the Subordinate Court, Thanjavur, shall issue notice to the respondent and thereafter proceed with the matter in

accordance with law and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

7. Accordingly, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 05-06-2026 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes rri
