Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the petitioner's association activities without the approval of the 1st and 2nd respondents as comtemplated under the Tamil Nadu Gaming Act.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the petitioner's Association activities without the approval of the 1st and 2nd respondents as contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Gaming Act. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Mr.M.Rajaram, Sub-Inspector of Police, B1 Ooty Town Central Police Station, assisting the learned Government Advocate made a submission that the petitioner Association is not functioning as of now. Therefore, the relief as such sought for deserves no consideration.

3. It is needless to state that in the event of any illegality or otherwise in respect of the activities of the Association, the respondent police is empowered to conduct inspection and initiate appropriate action. In the present case, it is submitted that the petitioner Association is not functioning and therefore, no further deliberation is required in respect of the grounds raised in the writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
