ORDER

This Court by an order dated 24.03.2016 made in W.P.No.10987 of 2016, directed the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2015, conduct enquiry and give an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and other legal heirs in the petitioner's family and any other necessary parties, including the 4th respondent and thereafter pass https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ appropriate orders and dispose of

the representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Though the order was passed as early as on 24.03.2016, the same has not been complied with. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this Contempt Petition.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader by producing a proceedings of the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner was rejected on 25.07.2016 itself. Therefore, nothing survives in this Contempt Petition.

In view of the above, I am of the view that nothing survives in this Contempt Petition. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the said order in the manner known to law.
