ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 448, 385 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.16 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner went to the working site of the defacto complainant and demanded a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as donation for the political party. When the defacto complainant refused to pay the money, the petitioner threatened him that the petitioner will stop the work. Hence the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a social worker and he came to know that the complainant company had violated the rules and regulations to construct a apartment. When the petitioner asked about the violation, the defacto complainant lodged a false complaint against the petitioner. He is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is still pending and hence he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the fact that the case is in the initial stage of the investigation and that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. -sd/- 16/04/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
