This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 11.06.2018 either include the area occupied by the petitioners in the Slum Clearance Board Layout or grant separate patta individually to an extent of their occupation in S.No.223 of Perungalathur Village, Kancheepuram District within the time framed by this Hon'ble Court.

Heard Mr.M.Muthappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5 and Mr.M.Rajasekar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 and 6.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 11.06.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving them an opportunity of hearing, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
