The petitioners have filed this Writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to sanction Educational loan to the 1st petitioner, who is doing her 1st year BDS Course.
2. Since no adverse order is being passed against the respondents, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.
3. The case of the petitioners is that the 1st petitioner got selected for a BDS Course in Sri Venkateswara Dental College, Chennai and the tuition fees for her is Rs.4,65,000/- per year. Therefore, the 1st petitioner applied for Educational loan in the respondent bank for the tuition fees, vide application dated 20.12.2022. However, the respondent bank has denied to sanction Educational loan on the ground that the CIBIL Score of the 1st petitioner's father/2nd petitioner herein was very low and no proper reason was stated for the rejection of the application. Hence, this petition.
4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the 1st respondent to consider the 1st petitioner's application dated 2/5
20.12.2022 and sanction Educational loan to the 1st petitioner.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 1st respondent to consider the 1st petitioner's application dated 20.12.2022 made for issuance of Educational Loan on merits and in accordance with law and pass a detailed order, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners.
