O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.02.2021 for the offence punishable under Sections 8 (C), 20(b)(ii) (B) of NDPS Act 1985 of I.P.C. in Crime No.231 of 2020 seeks bail.

2. The petitioner is the sole accused in this case. It is alleged that the petitioner was found in possession of 2.1kgs of Ganja. Earlier the petitioner was arrested on 20.03.2020 and subsequently he was granted interim bail for a period of 3 days to attend his mother's ceremony. Thereafter, he did not surrender before the concerned prison, subsequently he was arrested on 08.02.2021. Hence, seeking bail the present application has been filed.

3. Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, vehemently opposed the bail application stating that earlier the accused was arrested earlier and granted interim bail by this Court on 21.03.2021 for a period of 3 days to attend his mother's ceremony. Thereafter, he did not surrender before the concerned prison and he has also involved in several crimes thereafter. Hence, he was arrested on 08.02.2021. 4. On a perusal of records it is seen that there is no representation for the petitioner for several hearings. Hence, the matter is posted today under the caption "For dismissal. Even today there is no representation for the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are 9 previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. -sd/- 15/03/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
