Respondents Prayer:- This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records culminating in the passing of the order of the detention of the petitioner's son by name Viji @ Vijayakumar @ Coose Viji, S/o. Jayaraman under Act 14/1982 vide detention order Memo No.1865/BCDFGISSS/2014 dated 17/11/2014 on the file of the second respondent herein and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of Viji @ Vijayakumar @ Coose Viji, S/o. Jayaraman now detained in Central Prison, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Justice S.Tamilvanan) The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu Viji @ Vijayakumar @@ Coose Viji, S/o. Jayaraman, aged about 35 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 17/11/2014 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers, and Video Pirates Act, 1982(Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982).

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 17/11/2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.384, Home, Prohibition & Excise (X) Department dated 19/1/2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
